CHILD OF THE LIGHT
I don't really know what happened,
When i went to sleep that night,
But an angel came to greet me,
And guide me to the light.
She said: we're going somewhere special,
As we approached a golden glow,
And that there were people waiting,
People i would know.
Then she whispered that she had a job,
That only i could do,
I was chosen from my time of birth,
And i had known my whole life through.
You're a child of this golden light,
And now you are going home,
Your life on earth was just a trial,
To see what you could learn.
I had learned of love and laughter,
I had learned of grief and fear,
I'd known loyalty and friendship,
And had shed many a tear.
All the things i learnt on earth,
This knowledge shines so bright,
And is mine to teach to other souls,
I am a child of the light.
